New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
These features require a license.
- Bible Study Builder
- Bible Study Builder is a new tool that helps you create discussion questions for a small group Bible study.
- The questions sidebar allows you to type in a Bible reference, and it returns a list of possible questions that can be added to the Bible study editor. These questions come from Bible Study guides from the user’s library, and users can choose to generate more questions using AI if they wish.
- From there, you can move questions into your Bible Study document, reorder them, edit them to reword them, and add your own questions, notes, or additional text or headings. At the end of this process, the output can be shared or exported.
- Editing can be done online and offline. This feature is available on iOS and Android – phones, tablets, and iPads.
- Added Metadata sidebar to Bible Study Builder documents.
- Dashboard
- Added a series of new cards to the dashboard to help users accomplish tasks:
- Help Center Card
- Allows you to search for more information on features and find additional resources if extra help is needed.
- Top Bible Card (only shows if you have less than two prioritized Bibles)
- This card allows you to scroll through your owned Bibles and prioritize your top translation.
- Get Started Card
- Allows you to select what type of study you want to do and creates a layout to help you get the most out of the reference, topic, or lemma you select.
- Help Center Card
- Added a series of new cards to the dashboard to help users accomplish tasks:
- Dynamic Toolbar
- The Dynamic Toolbar is the new way to interact with all your Logos books.
- All the functionality for your Logos books is now on one easy-to-use tabbed toolbar.
- The new toolbar is simpler to use and makes it easier to discover Logos’ powerful features.
- Factbook
- Factbook entries for a person will now include three new sections:
- People, Places and Things.
- Biblical Events.
- Reported Speech.
- Added ability to retain lens selection in saved shortcuts and links.
- The commentaries section is now restricted to theological commentaries when in the theological lens.
- Where needed, verse references will now include details of the verse map they use (e.g., BHS Joel 3:1).
- Factbook entries for a person will now include three new sections:
- Help Center
- Added an “outdated content” warning label on old Help Center results.
- Smart Search
- When a Smart All search returns 4 or more locked results within the top 10 results, a banner will now appear, to let you know that you could switch to a Books search if you only want to include results from your own library.
- Splash Screens
- Added new splash screen designs for accounts with a subscription to Logos Premium, Logos Pro, or Logos Max.
Subscription Tweaks & Bug Fixes
- Factbook
- Bible references will now be listed in the Key Article section.
- A delay will no longer occur when selecting an autocomplete entry and pressing Enter.
- The link to Biblical Event Navigator will now take you to the most specific event. Thread.
- Switching lenses will no longer show “no results” within the Commentaries and Dictionary sections.
- Help Card
- Input box on the Help Center card will no longer be automatically focused on the dashboard.

- Removed support links from the app menu.
- Updated Help Center search placeholder text to ‘Ask about Logos/Verbum’.
- Sermon Writer
- Sermon Assistant will now auto-scroll to new results when more are generated.
- Context-specific questions will be generated from sermons consisting of only one Bible passage, rather than generic ones.
- Illustrations can now be generated using a 5-character prompt with Chinese language settings.
- Sermon Assistant in Verbum is now called Homily Assistant.
- Get Started Wizard
- Changed “Write a sermon” to “Write a homily” in Verbum.
- Dynamic Toolbar
- Added the correct shortcut to the tooltip for step to unit buttons on Windows. Thread.
- App Banners
- Previously dismissed banners within the app (outside the dashboard) will remain hidden after reopening the application.
- Bible Study Builder
- Bible Study Builder documents that were edited on the web will no longer cause sync issues when opening from a different platform.
- Sermons
- Popular Quotes are filtered to Verbum Library Sources.

- About Panel
- Updated wording to indicate Subscription tier and owned Libraries.
- Factbook
- Results from Factbook and a Factbook Search will now have similar results.
- Lemmas in autocomplete results now show their gloss.
- First Run Dialog (which shows immediately after installing for the first time)
- Updated design for first run dialog screens, including an updated UI for Updated UI for selecting Full, Quick, and Minimal downloads.
- Added video page with an introductory video on how to use the application.
- Added a new While You Wait screen with links to additional information on how to use Logos to its full potential, access the web application, and install the mobile application.
- The app can now be launched once the minimal resources and data sets required to run have been downloaded.
- Additional resources and datasets will continue to download and index in the background if launched.
- Lexicon Resources
- Added a keyboard switcher for Lexicon resources in the resource navigation box.
- Resources
- Improved dynamic text and dynamic translation selection behavior for resources like the Faithlife Study Bible on the original Toolbar and the Dynamic Toolbar.
- Resource Panel
- Initial sidebar width now accounts for program scaling.
- Settings
- “Show Keyboard” Selector in Program settings will be respected for inline search.
- Toolbar
- The title of the visual filter group “From other books with corresponding text” has been restored to “Corresponding Notes and Highlighting” in the original resource toolbar.
Windows Changes & Improvements
- Accessibility
- Added labels to buttons in the v1 Resource Toolbar for screen readers.
Bug Fixes
- First Run Dialog
- Added an updated video to the First Run Dialog screen.
- Resources
- The application will no longer crash if all Bibles are removed from the device.
- Resource Panel
- The application will no longer hang when navigating between visual filters when a passage list filter is turned on.
- Verbum Dashboard
- Updated the dashboard font.
Mac Bug Fixes
- Panels
- Certain components in resource panels will no longer get stuck or be blank when switching tabs after changing monitors or resizing.
Windows Bug Fixes
- Touch Devices
- Improved interactions for touch devices for certain components in the application, including the Dynamic Toolbar and popups throughout the application.
- First Run Dialog
- The continue button in the First Run Dialog screen is now visible at screen resolutions of 1280x768 on Windows.
- Install
- Fixed an issue causing corrupted installation for users updating to v37 from a version prior to 36.1.

- It’s finally here! You can now edit sermon documents from the Android Logos app. Similar to iOS, this is available on Android tablets (not Android phones).
